DATE: Georgian, c.1791

A fantastic Georgian memorial band dedicated to General David Willis who died, aged 67, in September 1818. Engraved raised edges of the 18k gold ring protects the black enamel band with the words "David Willis Gen 1, OB 27 Sep 1818 AET 67" in gold lettering. It bears full English hallmarks for 18k gold, London and fits a size 10 finger, and cannot be resized. There's not much to say about him online, however we treasure this ring as it honours a person who served to protect his country.
