DATE: Art Deco, c.1930

An exquisite string of opal beads, with faceted rock crystal dividers and a white gold barrel clasp. The opals are graduated in size, and display lovely colour - mainly greens and blues, with an orange and pink glow - and great iridescence. The rock crystal dividers also graduate in size, and the open worked clasp is set with vivid rubies. It has a wearable length of 17.5 inches, resting lovely against the chest. Dates from the Art Deco period, circa 1930.
