DATE: Etruscan Revival, c.1870

A gorgeous pair of antique boxed drop earrings, made in the Etruscan Revival style and dating to circa 1870. Each drop features a charming star shaped recess, each one set with a turquoise cabochon in the centre, surrounded by fine gold ropework. The articulated drops hang freely from gold oval tops, each one applied with a pommel and diamond shaped motif. With gold wires, they hang around 1.5 inches from the ear, crafted in 15k gold throughout. Offered in a gorgeous antique earring box.
