DATE: Victorian, c.1860

An utterly beautiful antique silver locket with enamelled Lily of the Valley flowers to the front. The enamel remains in perfect condition, and is highly detailed and colourful - a gorgeous depiction of the sweet scented, but deadly, flower. 

According to the Victorian Language of the Flowers, Lily of the Valley signifies re-found happiness, proclaiming joy has returned to your life or a fated love never truly left.

It has a good, substantial feel and dates from the 1860s.
