Kutchinsky was established in 1893 when Hirsch Kutchinsky arrived in England having fled Poland along with his family. With them, thy brought many years experience and wasted no time in setting up their business in London. Hirsch set up with his son, Morris, and they quickly built up a reputation for producing unique and quality pieces. They set out making platinum pieces set with diamonds, which led them to creating unusual and naturalistic designs in the 60s and 70s. The business was positioned alongside jewellers such as Grima and Chaumet, and their work was thriving not just in London, but all over the world.
This ring takes on their well known naturalistic design, where the gold textured band creates a "wrap" effect, ending with a high profile and bright cluster at the top. The cluster is set with a gorgeous green emerald, surrounded by a cluster of diamonds, set within square and elongated settings. It's crafted in 18k gold, is signed Kutchinsky and features English hallmarks dating it to the year 1970.
