1950s WHY WORRY Gold Spinner Charm
1950s WHY WORRY Gold Spinner Charm
$650.00
Description
DATE: Mid-Century, c.1950
Cute vintage spinner charm dating from the 1950s. Crafted in 9 karat yellow gold, it displays the question WHY WORRY when spun - a clever design whereby half of each letter is engraved on each side, matching up perfectly to form the full word when its spun (and they eye is tricked into seeing them together). We've had a few examples with I Love You, Good Luck, and even Happy Landings, but I've never seen a Why Worry? one before. There's a deeper message at play here also, something about there being two sides to every coin/story/person, that cannot be fully understood unless considered together as one unified whole.
