DATE: Edwardian, 1902
Souvenir photograph album charm made to commemorate the coronation of King Edward VII, possibly given away to guests attending. The cover is finished in royal blue enamel (naturally), with the king's monogram, ER, over the year, 1902, with crown above. The back features the floral emblems of the (then) three nations, England, Scotland, and Ireland, and each page inside features a photograph of one member of his royal line. In order: King Edward VII himself; Alexandra of Denmark, his wife; George (later King George V), his son; George's wife, Mary of Teck; his grandson who would later be crowned King Edward VIII, albeit very briefly and ending in scandal; and finally his mother, the late Queen Victoria. Crafted in pinchbeck and secured closed by a little catch on the side
