Late Victorian Diamond Navette Cluster Ring
$3,400.00
Description
DATE: Victorian, c.1900
The term navette (often used interchangeably with Marquise) means "little ship" in French, in reference to the boat-like shape it describes.. This gorgeous and dainty antique navette cluster ring is set with 1 carat total of glistening old cut diamonds. It dates from the late Victorian period, circa 1900, and features two chunky stones that take centre stage within the cluster. Each old cut is full of life, sparkle and brightness, and they're surrounded by further diamonds, set in platinum. The navette head is flanked by two diamond set shoulder details, each bordered with fine millegrain, while the slim band is modelled in 18k yellow gold.
