DATE: Art Deco, c.1920

This gorgeous antique brooch is modelled as the ever popular "lucky horseshoe". However, this one features a riding crop along with it! The horseshoe is set with two rows of stones- dreamy pearls and single cut diamonds. The pearls are perfectly matched in size and colour, while the diamonds graduate in size and are set in gorgeous platinum millegrain square settings. This gives the illusion of bigger and brighter stones. Diagonally set across the back is the riding crop, set with a single diamond and featuring gorgeous engraved detailing and a fine swirling goldwork. Crafted in 18k gold, it dates from the Deco period, 1920. If brooches aren't your thing, why not add a chain?
