DATE: Victorian, c.1880

This charming antique crescent is set with two rows of gemstones- dreamy natural pearl and gorgeous demantoid garnets. The stones are seamlessly set, graduating in size towards the two points of the crescent. Its crafted in 15k yellow gold throughout, with a finely pierced gallery and safety chain. If brooches aren't your thing, add a chain for wear as a pendant. Dates to the Victorian period, circa 1880.

The sky's mysterious nature intrigued the Victorians, and it represented the realm of dreams, magic, and the hidden aspects of life. Stars and crescent moons were a popular motif, and the moon was seen as a feminine symbol, celebrating the moon as a goddess for female empowerment.
