DATE: Mid-Century Modern, c.1950

A remarkable mid-century modernist cocktail ring dating from the 1950s. It's set with diamonds, a central .85 carat old mine cut flanked by two "waves" of old single cuts. The stones are set in white gold to accentuate their colour, which also works to set up a gorgeous mixed metal palette with the yellow gold band. Stylistically very striking, and very much of it's post-Deco time.
