DATE: Victorian, c.1880

A cool antique compass pendant dating from the Victorian period, circa 1880. It's crafted in 18k yellow gold throughout, with a mother of pearl compass face, behind a glass face. Painted in black enamel are eight compass points, a great contrast to the iridescent face. The back features an uncarved panel of sardonyx, and surrounding is a fine gold ropework border.
