DATE: Georgian, c.1830

This cool Georgian seal fob is set with foil backed citrine base and is crafted in 15k gold throughout. Intaglio carved, is the initials JCG, surrounded by a buckle motif with the worlds "Ne tentes, aut perfice"- loosely translating to "Do Not Attempt Or Else Accomplish". So really, if you're not going to do it correctly, do not try at all! I can't disagree with this one... The buckle symbolizes the eternal- the eternal belief in this motto. A unicorn is carved above this, known as the animal of Scotland.
