DATE: Georgian, c.1820

A charming antique spinner fob, dating from the Georgian period, circa 1820 and featuring a gorgeous jasper agate spinner section. Each side of the agate features a finely hand engraved intaglio- two grey hounds, a ship named "Hart" and finally "Cumbernauld N.B." on the third. It features a simple ribbed 15 karat gold frame and it remains in great condition. Perhaps this belonged to a sailor, who travelled on the ship from the North of Britain, and was given this for safe and quick travels.
