DATE: Victorian, c.1870

A stunning Victorian 15k gold locket, finished in gorgeous duck egg blue enamel on the back and front. The front features a textured gold scene of flowers, with gorgeous scrolled motifs set with dreamy pearls. The combination of gold, blue and white is gorgeous, and the flowers to me seem like snowdrops and pansy's. From the Language of flowers, these are hope and thoughts. A lovely sentiment! It's hinged down the side and opens to reveal two locket compartments, still with the original photographs inside. Dating from the Victorian period, circa 1870 it remains in great condition.
