DATE: Georgian, c. 1800

Gorgeous antique heart pendant, set with a central pink topaz and three chrysolite stones. Modelled in 15k gold with a locket compartment at the back, currently home to lock of woven hair. Memorial pieces were very popular in the Georgian period, and this would have symbolised a "secure" memory, ensuring the loved one was never forgotten by the wearer. Comes complete with a 15k gold chain and dates from Georgian period, circa 1800.
