DATE: Victorian, c.1880

An especially lovely antique chequerboard ring, set with three rows of alternating sapphires and diamonds. It's modelled in 18 karat gold, and dates from the latter half of the 19th Century, circa 1880. The sapphires are a striking, vibrant colour, and the diamonds are old European cuts.
