DATE: Georgian Regency Period, c.1810

An astonishing pair of day and night Torpedo Earrings dating from the Georgian Regency period, circa 1810, They feature wonderfully intricate cannetille goldwork, applied over a textured ground, as well as fine ropework loop embellishement at the base. The main bodies are articulated, and detachable from the tops allowing for day or night wear. They're crafted in 15 karat gold, and remain in fantastic condition considering their age. Particularly rare and beautiful things - we've never seen a pair quite like it.
