DATE: Victorian, c.1892

This sweet antique five-stone ring, aka as a "boat ring" is lovely and streamlined, set with glistening old cut diamonds. The stones, graduated in size across the head, rest in scalloped settings that form open spaces to the gallery, allowing the light in behind them. With small engraved floral details to the shoulders, it's modelled in rich 18k gold and bears English hallmarks for Birmingham, 1892.
