DATE: Victorian, c.1890

A perfectly formed antique cluster ring, set with a vibrant blue sapphire within a halo of old cut diamonds. Crafted in rich 18k gold throughout, the sapphire rests in claw mounts and weighs in at a perfect 1 carat, and the diamonds are sparkly and bright with a total weight of 0.55 carats. The shoulders feature pierced and engraved detailing, while the back of the head is open, allowing the light to shine through the stones. It dates from the Victorian period, circa 1890 and makes a great antique engagement ring.
