Victorian 5-Stone Diamond Coiled Snake Ring
Victorian 5-Stone Diamond Coiled Snake Ring
$3,800.00
Description
DATE: Victorian, c.1898
A fierce and striking antique ring, modelled as a coiled snake. Its crafted in 18 karat gold throughout, with English hallmarks dating it to Chester assay office and the year 1898. Th snakes head is set with a row of chunky and bright old mine cut diamonds, graduating in size as they move along its neck, with two small gold pommel eyes and a sneaky mouth. It wraps round the finger three whole times (!!), with its head resting in the centre of the band. The tail swoops off to the side, creating that "eternal" loop well known in antique snake jewellery. Its a great size, perfect for a gold ring stack and it remains in excellent condition.
