This beautiful ring is set with the most gorgeous blue enamel centre, with three star motifs that appear to float over the top, set with pretty rose cut diamonds. A single halo of pearls surround this, and the band is crafted in 18 karat gold throughout. Dates to circa 1830.
Bague au Firmament, translating to "Ring of the Heavens", a style intended to represent the night sky. Pieces featured blue enamel or glass and were often set with diamonds and white pearls to represent a cluster of stars. In this case, there are rose cut diamonds stars with the addition of pearls in the cluster.
