DATE: Victorian, c.1890

This stylish late Victorian half hoop ring is set with 3 gorgeous sapphires with old cut diamonds nestled in between. This ones a sleek example of the style, the head more streamlined and square in shape, and the stones a different cut to your usual oval/round sapphires. The gorgeous cut of the stones display their deep blue colour perfectly, with flashes of bright blue when moved in the light. These are combined with four small old cut diamonds and a rich 18 karat gold band, featuring a carved gallery and open backed settings.
