An exceptional early 18th Century Posy Ring with the inscription "Rather death then faulse of faythe" (rather death than false of faith). It's a powerful sentiment, given this ring will have been exchanged upon betrothal, with the message immortalised - literally set in gold. It dates from around the 1720s, crafted in 18k gold and remaining in great condition almost 300 years on.
